James Davidson

James Paul Davidson, 33 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died August 16, 2015 at his home. He was born March 11, 1982 in Cape Girardeau to James H. and Kimberley A. McCormick Davidson. He married Trisha Klipfel on November 3, 2012. He was a graduate of Cape Central High School and attended Ozark Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri. He was a chef at several prominent restaurants in Springfield and Cape Girardeau. He was also a DJ (Shagee) for many years in the Central United States. For the past several years he was employed at Ex/Cel where he was the senior computer technician. He was an avid Cardinal Fan, enjoyed playing disc golf, mushroom hunting, attending concerts with his brother Jesse and Uncle John, fishing, hunting and hiking. But above all, he enjoyed and loved nothing more than spending time with his three children. He is survived by his wife; his children, Brayden James, Raelyn Marie and Ellie Jo of the home; his parents, Kimberley A. McCormick Davidson of Cape Girardeau and James H. (Penny) Davidson of Scott City; brothers, Jesse (Danielle) Davidson of Cape Girardeau and Levi Davidson of Scott City; sister, Moriah Davidson of Scott City; maternal grandmother, Betty McCormick; paternal grandmother, Barb Rhymer; uncles, Greg (Becky) Davidson, Shawn McCormick, Vince McCormick and David McCormick; aunts, Melinda "Mindy" (John) Dodd and Angie Osborne; a niece, Avery Davidson of Cape Girardeau; a nephew, Dylan Kershaw; cousins, Tatum Dodd, Riley Dodd, Mollie Davidson and Connor Davidson (godson) all of Cape Girardeau, Kimberley Stillings of Scheffield, Pennsylvania and David Osborne of Ft. Lee, Virginia along with many more cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Joan (his JoJo) Pribble Davidson and James E. Davidson; paternal great grandparents, Ralph C. and Raye Marie Davidson; maternal grandfather, David McCormick and paternal grandfather, Jesse "Jet" Rhymer. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Memorial Service will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday at the chapel with Rev. Kim Ferguson officiating. The family would like to thank their friends and extended family for the love and support they have received during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for the children's education fund at Edward Jones Investments, 839 N.
