Lawrence Ambrose Brucker

Lawrence Ambrose Brucker, age 91, of Delta, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born on February 6, 1924 in Perkins, Missouri to the late Ambrose and Frances Rose Kirchdoerfer Brucker. Lawrence married Betty Quade on August 27, 1949 and she survives. He was a retired self-employed farmer and member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; three daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Scheffer of Gordonville, Missouri, Nancy (David) Hester of Delta, Missouri, Mary Pruitt of Delta, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tammy Livingston of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Chris (Lisa) Scheffer of Gordonville, Missouri, Nicole Scheffer of Gordonville, Missouri, Myra (Eric) Schwartz of Rockview, Missouri, Amanda (Adam) Farmer of Tilsit, Missouri, Robert (Kim) Pruitt of Jackson, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren, Cody, Jordan and Grady Livingston, Dyllan and Colton Scheffer, Hailey, Caleb and Chloe Farmer, Josie, Alexander and Corbin Schwartz, Ally Pruitt; two sister in laws, Ruby Cook, Jessie Quade; and one brother in law, Richard Morgan. Lawrence was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ghia Hester; one great granddaughter, Aaliey Schwartz; two brothers, three sisters and one son in law, Scott Pruitt. Friends may call after 4 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri. Parish Prayers will be held at 4 p.m. Friends may call Friday, August 21, 2015 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
