Ruth Sullivan

Ruth Sullivan, age 98, of Chaffee, MO passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. She was born in Grandin, Missouri on July 30, 1917 to the late Spencer and Sally Crowe Bacon. She married Sam P. Sullivan on April 1, 1936 and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1966. Ruth and her husband owned and operated Sullivan Brothers Cleaners in Chaffee, Missouri. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chaffee, MO. Survivors include her two sons, Bob (Janet) Sullivan of Chaffee, MO, Bill (Peggy) Sullivan of Cape Girardeau, MO; one daughter, Ruth Ann Glency of Chaffee, MO; eleven grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; twenty seven great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren. Ruth was also preceded in death by five brothers; two sisters; one granddaughter; one great grandson; one great-great grandson and one son in law. Friends may call from noon until the time of service, Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday at the chapel with Rev. Steve Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, MO. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Chaffee.
