Larry Rogers

Larry G. Rogers, age 61 of Seattle, WA formerly of Chaffee, MO died unexpectedly November 19, 2015 in Seattle, WA.
He was born in Macon, MS on April 26, 1954 to the late James Roby and Phyllis Rae Jones Rogers.
Larry grew up in Chaffee and graduated high school in 1972 where he was president of his class all four years and an outstanding athlete in both football and baseball. Unfortunately, a severe knee injury has Junior year shortened his athletic career. He remained a sports fanatic his entire life and attended many major sporting events including Kentucky Derby’s and Super Bowls. Through the years he lived and worked from Florida to Alaska and many states in between before finally settling in Seattle for the past 20 years. He never married but took extreme pride in his family and especially the accomplishments of his brothers, sisters, and nieces. He called home every Sunday, without fail, to check up on the family and the news around town. To his siblings, Sundays will never be the same.
He is survived by a brother, Steve (Linda) Rogers of New Madrid, MO; a sister, Janie (Jim) Fowler of Chaffee, MO; nieces, Amy (Lucas) Branson, Molly (Tyler) Fowler, and Kori (Neal) Grossheider as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
