Hattie Elizabeth Bennett
Hattie Elizabeth Bennett, age 82 of Scott City, MO passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was born in Rector, AR on May 17, 1933 to the late Leslie and Effie Jackson Noland. She married Verlin Hayes and he preceded her in death. She later married Paul Bennett and he also preceded her in death.
She was owner and operator of Mike’s Lounge in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Hayes of Scott City, MO; five grandchildren, Laura Lacey, Elizabeth Hayes, Rocky Portell, Andrew Bennett and Joseph Hayes; five great grandchildren, Quinton, Ashlyn, Keaton, Madalyn and Kristoffer.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, one sister, one daughter, Kathleen Bennett and one son, Joseph Hayes.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, One East Wacker Drive Ste. 2810, Chicago, IL 60601 in memory of Hattie Bennett.
Burial will follow at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
