Jerry Wayne Evans age 67 of Chaffee passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the St. Francis Medical Center Cape Girardeau. He was born in St. Louis, MO on August 13, 1948 to Norma Lee Jones and the late Ottis W Evans Sr. He married Annetta A Davis on November 23, 1990 and she survives. Jerry was in the United States Army.
Jerry enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting. He worked for the Missouri Department of transportation, retiring as a highway maintenance worker.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Evans of Chaffee; wife, Annetta Evans of Chaffee; a daughter, Jessie Evans of Chaffee and a brother, Ottis W Evans Jr. of High Ridge MO.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Evans.
Friends may call after 4:00 pm, Monday, February 15, 2016 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Graveside Service will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 16 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, in Bloomfield MO with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating.
Burial will be with full Military Honors by the Missouri Honor Guard.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family would like donation to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
