On Thursday, March 24, 2016 Olive Corn went to be with her heavenly father. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed the time spent together. She had an impact on many people’s lives and was known for always putting others first.
She was born April 7, 1920 in Buffalo, Missouri to Odus and Effie Beckner Hendrickson. She married Bernard G. Corn on August 16, 1943 in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death November 14, 2000.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Various Southern Baptist churches as a pastor’s wife for over 50 years.
She is survived by two sons; Larry (Donna) Corn and his children, Michelle Haman, Laura Jackson and their mother all of Milton, Florida, and Michael (Wendy) Corn of Ft. Smith, Arkansas: Lynn ( Cheryl ) Corn of Scott City and their children, Sara (Andy) Callis of Cape Girardeau, Ryan (Leslie) Corn of Nashville, Tennessee and Nathan Corn of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Dorothy White of Nixa, Missouri, Jean Cunningham of Springfield, Missouri; nine great grandchildren and a large extended family whom she loved very much.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday at the chapel with Rev. Jeremy Sells officiating.
Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri
