Bobby G. Hensley, 85 of Scott City died Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau He was born July 12, 1930, in Scott County, Missouri, to Ollie Edgar and Mabel Hazel Jobe Hensley. He married Barbara Marie Uelsmann on Dec. 25, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2012. Bob was a heavy equipment operator for 49 years at Marquette Cement Co. and along with wife, Barbara, owned and operated Bob’s Sinclair station for 43 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City. He is survived by his daughter, Marsha Fehr of Scott City; two granddaughters, Heather (Kenny) Ingvalson and Hailey (Aaron) Simmers of Scott City; three great-grandchildren, Nathan and Abigail Ingvalson and Jackson Simmers; a brother, Don (Betty) Hensley of Cape Girardeau, and a sister, Gladys (Alvie) Baker of Scott City. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Earl Fehr, and a brother, Charles Hensley. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jeremy Sells and Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be in Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery in Scott City with full military honors. Memorials may be sent to the Eisleben Cemetery Fund or First Baptist Church New Building Fund.
