Georgianna F. Bohannon

Georgianna Freida Bohannon, 88 of Benton died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born on August 3, 1927 in Benton, Missouri to Theon Emil and Emma LeDure Robert. She married John Henry Bohannon on Sept. 4, 1948 in Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1993.

She was owner/operator of Bohannon Cleaners and was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, St. Anne’s Sodality, American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by two sons; Gary (Susie) Bohannon of Benton and Jeffrey (Gale) Bohannon of Scott City; a brother, Don (Bertie) Robert of Benton; four grandchildren, LaShea ( John) Worley, Benji (Erin) Bohannon, Bradley (Beth) Bohannon and Rachel ( Brian) O’Shea and six great grandchildren, Christian, Jeremiah, Isaac and Jonah Worley, Sophia O’Shea and Gregory Bohannon.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Ginny Robert and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 9 am until time of service on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Saturday at the church with Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery in Benton.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
