Bobby Metcalf

He was born July 2, 1938 in Augusta, Arkansas to the late Earl and Maggie Goodon Metcalf.

He married Shirley Anne McKenzie on Dec 26, 1957 in Chaffee, MO. She passed away November 22, 2003. Bob later married Carol Little on March 19, 2005 and she survives of the home.

Bobby enlisted in the United States Navy in San Diego, California and served as a mechanic on the USS Ranger and the Naval Air Station in Beeville, TX from 1955 - 1959. He was proud of his service to his country and took pride in being a veteran.

Bobby was a truck driver for Ceramo Pottery Company in Jackson MO and he retired from there.

He was an Ordained Bishop in The Church of God and pastored churches in MO, OK, and TN. He was a founding member of The Church of God in Chaffee.

Survivors include his wife Carol of the home, one daughter Kimberly and her husband Johnny Fowler. Grandchildren Travis and his wife Jadria Metcalf ; Phillip Arnzen; Great Grandchildren, Ava, Harper, Brynn Metcalf; Step Grandchildren, Chris and his wife Brandy Fowler; Joey & Bobby Fowler; Step-Great Grandchildren, Noah and Kennedy Fowler. Two Step children, Troy Little; Shelly and her husband Scott Williams; Three Step Grandchildren, Amy and her husband Chris Slinkard; Casey Little and Landon Williams; Two Step Great Grandchildren, Ryan & McKenzie Slinkard; Three brothers JD Metcalf of Redfield AR; Jimmy Metcalf of Cape Girardeau, MO; Glen Metcalf of Las Vegas, NV.

Besides his wife Shirley, he was also preceded in death by one sister Melba Hocker and two brothers Clovis and George Metcalf.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm, Tuesday at The Church of God on Hwy 77 in Chaffee.

The service will be at The Church of God at 11:00 am Wednesday with the Rev. Tom Morris officiating, followed by a full Military Service provided by the Missouri Honors at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
