Bonnie Sue Rister

Bonnie Sue Rister age 80 of Chaffee passed away on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at Southeast Missouri Hospital

She was born on March 3, 1936 at Chaffee, MO to the late Charles C. W. and Novella McClure Mantel

She married Arlie Rister Jr. on October 14, 1957 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2004.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee, MO. Bonnie was a member of the Chaffee V.F.W. Auxiliary, and she was a past member of Chaffee Order of Eastern Star chapter 48. She liked to refurbish furniture, fish and go to bingo.

Survivors include two sons, Rusty (Lana) Rister and Ron (Charlotte) Rister both of Chaffee; one daughter Robin Rister of Chaffee; a brother, Mike (Rita) Mantel of Chaffee; one sister, Barbara Arnold of Chaffee: eight grandchildren and nine great Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Mantel and one sister Marietta Gilmer.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm, Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Friday, with the Jim Smiley officiating.
