Bobbie Choate

Bobbie Jean Choate, 73, of Scott City, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at Chaffee Nursing Center. She was born June 25, 1942 in Bollinger County to the late Dale and Ruby Hanner Stevens. She married Donald Choate on June 27, 1959, and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2006.

Bobbie was a member of the Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Laster of Humboldt, TN. and Robin (Randy) Whitney of Grove, OK; a brother, Jack (Roberta) Stevens of McClure, Il.; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a half-sister, Betty Ford.

Friends may call from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
