Doris Jean Yahn

Doris Jean Yahn, 79 of Chaffee, MO, passed away Friday July 22, 2016 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born January 28, 1937 in Cape Girardeau to Herschell Carl and Alfreda Mae Dickerson Hamilton.

Doris was married to Glenn A. Perry and later to Marion E. Yahn, Sr. She was a member of the Rockview Methodist Church. She worked at McDonald Douglas in St. Louis, where she wired airplanes.

She is survived by; two sons, James Perry of Scott City and Marion “Nook” Yahn of Bell City; one daughter, Debra Shrum of Owasso, OK; three brothers, Lewis Hamilton of Rockview, Kenneth Hamilton of Cape Girardeau and Larry Hamilton of Lowndes, MO; one sister Linda Lands of Chaffee; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Carl Hamilton.

Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Baptist Cemetery at Benton.
