Shelby Griswell

Shelby Jane Griswell age 91, of Oran passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born January 31, 1925 in McNairy County, TN to the late Jacob “Sandy” and Frances Russom Smith. She married James Roy Griswell on March 30, 1944 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1991.

Shelby was a homemaker. She was of Assembly of God faith.

Survivors include four sons Charles Griswell of Oran; Terry Griswell of Bloomfield, MO; Clifford Griswell and Billy Griswell both of Oran; three daughters Jearldine Urhahn of Sikeston; Mary Daniels of Bloomfield, MO; Rosa Knotts of Oran; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter; four brothers and five sisters and one grandchild and one great grandchild.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Chapel with Rev. Zac McIntyre officiating. Burial will be at New Morley Cemetery, Morley Missouri.
