Debra Madigan

Debbie Madigan age 60, of Oran passed away October 1, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 17, 1956 in Chaffee, MO to the late Aubrey “Jack” Whorton and Peggy Brindley Whorton. She married Walter Edward Madigan on January 25, 1975 and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2003.

Debbie was a Scott County Dispatcher for 18 years. She was a member of the Oran Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years.

Survivors include her mother Peggy; one son AJ (Chelsey) Madigan of Chester, IL; a daughter Kristal Madigan of Oran; a brother Rick (Sally) Whorton of Florissant, MO; three sisters Bonita (Bryan) Boston of St. Charles, MO; Paula (Darryl) Menzel of Highland, IL; Cheryl (Craig) Politte Foley, MO; six grandchildren Abigail, Macey, Tristen, Breanna, Dominic, and Aubrey.

She was also preceded in death by a niece Raechel Menzel.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday at Miner Baptist Church, 416 State Hwy H, Sikeston, MO with Rev. Jeremy Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at New Morley Cemetery, Morley MO.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to a Scholarship fund set up for Abigail Madigan at Focus Bank in Sikeston.
