Artie Gunter

Hiram Arthur “Artie” Gunter, 40, of Scott City, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was born March 31, 1976 in St. Louis to William Earl and Vanessa Rochelle Gunter Edmond. He married Krystal Brooke Hudson and she survives of the home.

Artie was a mechanic for Budget Auto Repair.

Survivors include his wife Krystal Brooke Gunter; his parents William Earl and Vanessa Rochelle Edmond of Scott City; two sons, Aydyn Jeffery Gunter and Van Everett Nelson Gunter; a brother, Randall Joseph Hanstein of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Lynn Robertson; mother-in-law Cynthia Diane McClain; maternal grandparents, Van Everett and Geneva K. Gunter; paternal grandmother, Helen Pauline Jones and paternal grandfather, William Earl Edmond Sr.

Friends may call from 5p.m. to 7p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Lee Thompson officiating.
