Mary Stewart

Mary F. Stewart, 90 of Benton, Missouri died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born October 1, 1926 in Fornfelt, Missouri to John Barney and Leona Pauline Wahl Wilhelm. She married Jackson Berry Stewart on April 10, 1948 in Fornfelt. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1998.

Mary was the secretary for Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton and Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 369 in Benton.

She is survived by a son, Rusty (Judy) Stewart of Benton; two daughters, Brenda Hudson of Southaven, Mississippi and Jane Stewart of Cape Girardeau; a sister Peggy Butler of Ft. Collins, Colorado; three grandchildren, Stacy (Jason) Ourth, Greg (Deana) Cathey and Derek (Penelope) Hudson and seven great grandchildren.

Also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 pm

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton with Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Denis Catholic Cemetery.
