Harold "Hank" Golightly

Harold “Hank” Golightly age 89, of Chaffee passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Chaffee Nursing Center.

He was born November 11, 1927 in Chaffee to the late Otto and Maude Doughty Golightly. He married Eva Grooms on October 23, 1946 and she survives of the home.

Hank started working at a gas station at a young age and later became owner/operator and changing the name to Hanks Phillips 66 Station where he worked for a total of 30 yrs. He later worked for P&G as an operator for 21 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chaffee. Hank was a 32degree Mason with Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615. He was a former volunteer fire fighter with the Chaffee Fire Department for 20 yrs.

Survivors include his wife Eva of seventy years; two daughters, Sandra Patterson of Oran; Nicole Rehak of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Traci (Johnnie) Shands and Brandon Patterson both of Oran; four great-grandchildren, Traci (Lee) Wescoat of Matthews; Dylan, Dane and Colin Shands of Oran; Two great-great-grandchildren, Emma and Ella Wescoat of Matthews and an honorary sister Dorothy Statler of Cape Girardeau.

He was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at the Chapel with Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, near Morley, MO
