Dorothy Wright

Dorothy M. Wright, 91 of Scott City died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born February 11, 1925 in Fornfelt, MO to Gustav and Caroline Westrich Sprenger. She married Louis Edward Wright on June 29, 1946. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2005.

Dorothy was a member of the Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, Ladies Aid of Church and taught 4-H.

She is survived by a son, Rodney (Judy) Wright of Jefferson City, MO; two daughters, Margaret (Ben) Parker of White Hall, AR and Linda (Charles) Rogers of Scott City; three grandchildren, Brian Parker, Darin (Tina) Rogers and Lisa Rogers and three great grandchildren, Payton and Houston Parker and Louis Rogers.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Victor Parker, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City and from 9:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the Eisleben Lutheran Church.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church with Pastor Marty Hasz officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
