Harrel Crump

Harrel L. Crump age, 95, of Chaffee passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born January 26, 1921 in Chaffee to the late Ernest Kirby and Ida Mae Williams Crump. He married Magdalen Mary Dumey on September 26, 1942 and she preceded him in death on September 20, 1992.

Harrel was a retired supervisor for Thorngate, LTD in Chaffee for over 50 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion in Chaffee and the Semo Beagle Club. Harrel served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include one son Danny (Carla) Crump of Scott City; three daughters,  Janet (Kurt) Gripentrog of Port Orange, FL; Nancy (Rick) LaVallee of Orlando, FL; Gail Amick of Chaffee; six grandchildren, Lisa Anderson, Donald LaVallee, Daniel LaVallee, Scott Cruce, Lance Amick, Lindsey Dirnberger and eleven great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call after 10:00 am until time of service on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am at the Chapel with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery, Chaffee with full Military Honors.
