Gerald Whitmore

Gerald Eugene Whitmore age, 79, of Oran died on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his family home.

He was born May 20, 1937 in St. Louis, MO to the late John and Marie Clark Whitmore. He married Sandra Rose on March 16, 1962 and she survives of the home.

Gerald retired from food service with Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife Sandra; three sons, Chuck (Tanya Sells) Holbrook of Jackson; Steven (Debbie) Holbrook of St. Louis, MO; Jarrett (Tiffany) Whitmore of Oran; three daughters, Delores Whitmore of Chaffee; Geraldine (Larry) Whitmore of Scott City; Valerie (Clint) Stickel of Oran; a brother Joseph Whitmore of Jackson; a sister Delores Coleman of Wisconsin; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

There will be no services at this time. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
