Ruth Mae Long

Ruth Mae Long, 93, of Rockview, MO passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at her home.

She was born on November 3, 1923 in Rockview to the late Elisha and Effie Mills Crumbaugh. She married John Benton Long on December 9, 1944 and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2000.

Ruth was a retired lunch room supervisor for Chaffee Grade School in Chaffee, MO.

She is also survived by a son, James (Veronica) Long of Iowa, LA; a sister, Mildred Eldridge of Chaffee, MO; Eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Long; three brothers, Charles, Milfred, and Clyde Curmbaugh.

Friends may call after 11:00 am on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the Chapel with Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating. Burial will be at Pulliam Cemetery near Scopus, MO.
