Morris Mccrory

Morris McCrory, 68 of Benton, Missouri died Wednesday, February 08, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 22, 1948 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Cloyse Edward and Sylvia Quillan Nichols McCrory. He married Riona Jean Lynn on February 15, 1968 and she died during childbirth on November 18, 1968. He later married Charlotte Ann Compas on March 30, 2001 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

He was a utilities worker for Proctor & Gamble. He was a member of LaCroix Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and the V.F.W. Post 3416 in Wappapello. He served in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam. He was an avid Crappie fisherman.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Darren McCrory of Knob Knoster, Missouri and Bryan Kiefer of Jackson; a daughter, Kimberly Kiefer of Boston, Massachusetts; a stepson, Randall Stephan of Columbia, Illinois; a brother, James McCrory of Round Lake, Illinois and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4:00 -8:00 pm on Friday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at the chapel with Rev. Ron Watts officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Morley.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
