Edward Hutson

Edward Dwight Hutson, 84 of Benton, Missouri died Monday, February 13, 2017 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born April 18, 1932 in rural Blodgett, Missouri to Everett D. and Jessie Faye Wheeler Hutson. He married Mary “Lou” Benfield on December 7, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 28, 1998.

He was a farmer and he was retired from International Shoe Factory. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton.

He is survived by two sons, Steve (Debi) Hutson of Marble Hill and John (Patty) Hutson of Scopus; two daughters, Debbie (Larry) Naile of Benton and Terra (David) Slayden of Diehlstadt; a brother, Paul Hutson of Benton; two sisters, Margie Sisk of Charleston and Carolyn Hutson of Benton; seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild with two more due in May.

He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan Nannette Hutson and two brothers, David and Gene Hutson.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton and from 9:00 am until the time of service on Thursday at the church.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday at the church with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.

Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton.
