Lillian Hess

Lillian Helen Hess, 76 of Scott City died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at her home. She was born March 18, 1940 in Chaffee, Missouri to Joseph Marion and Zita Ortha Schaefer Hess.

She taught English and History at Meredosia, Illinois and also worked at Riverside Regional Library. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, CCW and Ladies Sodality of Church.

She is survived by three brothers, James Hess of Chaffee, Charles Hess of Scott City and Earl (Pratibha) Hess of Knoxville, Tennessee and a sister, Alice Hess of Chaffee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Aleen Conway and Betty Dickerson.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the church with Rev. Joe Weidenbenner as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to charity of choice in Lillian’s name.
