Dolores "Dolly" Louise Slaughter

Dolores “Dolly” Slaughter, age 93, of Chaffee passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Chateau Girardeau.

She was born on June 19, 1923 in Oran, Missouri to the late Paul Sr. and Clara Pobst Halter. She married Clarence “Bud” Slaughter and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2001.

Dolores was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and was a member of the Daughters of St. Ambrose.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeana Sue (David) Taylor of Branson, Missouri; a grandson, Joshua Zeigler and a great-grandson, Dimitri Zeigler both of Eugene, Oregon.

She was also preceded in death by two infant children, Mary Catherine and Clarence Wilton Slaughter Jr.; two brothers Paul Halter Jr. and Michael Halter and a grandson, Justin Zeigler.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
