Melissa Stortz

Melissa Lenore Stortz, 47 of Perryville, Missouri died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born September 9, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri to Buford and Beverly Ogilvy Walker.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Beverly & Gary Chapman of Farmington, Missouri and her stepmom, Jean Walker of Winfield, Missouri; two daughters, Amanda Rose and Samantha Stortz of Perryville; four grandchildren, Jocelynn, Carlenna, Michael and Adalee; three sisters, Kristine Benus of Centralia, Missouri, Gina (Shawn) Whitworth of Scott City and Mary (David) Callaway of Winfield, Missouri; a stepbrother, Bo Pemberton of Tennessee; a stepsister, Kim Callaway of Winfield, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Buford Walker; a son, Justin Walker and a sister, Rita Thieret.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett chapel in Scott City.

A memorial service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday at the chapel with Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
