Ethel Mae Richards

Ethel Mae Richards, 87, of Oran passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at the family home.

She was born on October 10, 1929 in Marshall, Arkansas to the late Robert and Ada Thompson Lance. She married Royce Beavers on August 7, 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1994. She married Jack Richards on March 12, 2005 and he survives of the home.

Ethel was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Rosemary) Beavers of Oglesby, IL; Michael (Marlene) Beavers of Nova Scotia, Canada; three step-daughters, Linda Richards of CA; Jane Richards of CA; Jean Chandler of OR; a brother, Kenneth (Trish) Lance of Dillsburg, PA; three sisters, Velma Beavers of Utica, IL; Eula Lee Zermeno of Oglesby; Opal (Art) Oberholtzer of Oglesby; 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Bernice Powell; one step-son, Alan Richards; one sister, Clessie Mason; two brothers, Leonard Lance and Roy Dale Lance; one grandson, Michael Beavers.

Friends may call after 10:30 am on Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 pm on Tuesday at the Chapel with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
