George Edward Stanley

George Edward Stanley, 70, Benton, formally of Oran, MO passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at Southeast Hospital.

He was born August 25, 1946 in Perkins, MO to the late Leon & Imogene Bain Stanley. He married Margaret Vinson on August 24, 1963 who survives of the home.

George was a retired crane operator for Noranda Aluminum Inc. in Marston, MO. He loved to hunt, fish and go camping.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Stanley of Benton; two daughters, Angela (Ron Wheetley) Burton of Oran; Karen (Shane) Dirnberger of Oran; a son, Jerry Stanley of Benton; a sister, Linda (Jess) Phillips of Oran; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Fawn Stanley and a son, Scott Stanley; a sister Lydia Buessink and two brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Stanley.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm on Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at the Chapel with Rev. Dennis Lowe. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, MO.
