Marla Shy

Marla Shy, 51, of Oran passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the family home.

She was born on May 2, 1966 in Herrin, Illinois to Delmar and Margaret McClure Hammonds.

Marla was a CNA with Rock Care in Jackson, MO.

She is survived by her mother Margaret Hammonds of Herrin, IL; two sons, Tyler Shy and Troy Shy both of Oran; a brother Terry (Susan) Hammonds of Sesser, IL; two sisters, Vicki (Leon) Null of Johnston City, IL; Lori Hammonds of Herrin IL; two grandchildren, Damion and Lucas Applewhite of Chaffee.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Kyle Applewhite; her father Delmar Hammonds and grandfather, Harold McClure along with her favorite furry son Ozzy.

Friends may call after 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Services will be at 5:00 pm on Sunday at the Chapel with Leon Null officiating.
