Donald Lett

Donald Lee Lett, 90 of Scott City died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home. He was born March 27, 1927 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Ernest and Gertrude Singleton Lett. He married Alvena Lillian Georger on January 31, 1948. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2009.

Donald worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by three sons, Paul (Cheryl) Lett of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kenneth (Dorothy) Lett of Scott City and Stanley (Darlene) Lett of St. Charles, Missouri; two sisters, Janet Drum and Ruth Gilmore of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a great grandson.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Weidenbenner officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.
