Charles Fred Arnold, 69, of Messler, MO passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home after his battle with lung and bone cancer.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1947 in Perkins, MO to the late A. Paul and Annabelle Head Arnold. He married Linda Eftink on Oct. 25, 1969 and she survives of the home.
Fred was a retired farm hand and a retired truck driver for Genesis Trucking in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, MO. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Cape Girardeau. He was a Master Mason for two years with Lakeville AF&AM Masonic lodge 489 in Bell City, MO then transferring to Chaffee AF&AM Masonic Lodge 615. Fred served in the United States Army from Jan. 1966 to Jan. 1969 and was a Vietnam Veteran receiving honorable discharge and a purple heart for his service.
He is survived by two sons, Michael (Kathy) Arnold of Randles, MO; Dereck (Rhonda) Arnold of Chaffee, MO; a daughter, Lisa (Bobby) Tuttleton of Chaffee; a brother Robert Arnold of Bell City, MO; a sister, Patricia Lancaster of Catawissa, MO; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Arnold Jr. and Francis Arnold; a sister Phyllis Wethington; a niece and a nephew.
