Catherine Deloris Morrill

Catherine Deloris Morrill, 80, of Oran passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Ratcliff Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born on April 26, 1937 in Illmo, MO to the late Alvin and Vera McGhee Held. She married Norman Louis Morrill on March 3, 1956 and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2015.

Catherine was a retired Inspector for Thorngates Ltd. in Chaffee. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Scott City.

She is survived by a son, Keith (Helen) Morrill of Benton, MO; two daughters, Pam (Kelly) Kyle of Oran, MO; Nicole (James) Stephens of Marble Hill, MO; two brothers, Bob (Arlene) Held of Festus, MO; Fred (Tracy) Held of Doniphan, MO; four sisters, Virginia (Larry) O’Brien of Scott City, MO; Sharon (Mark) Hillemann of Oran; Donna (Ronnie) Carr of Oran; Debbie (Brian) Gill of Oran; six grandchildren, Kraig (Jin) Kyle of Stamford, CT; Kara (Nathan) Dirnberger of Benton; Klayton (Kelsey) Kyle of Oran; Karson (Alisha Hendrix) Morrill of Advance, MO; Kollin Morrill of Benton; Kirsten Stephens of Marble Hill; six great-grandchildren; Kailee, Liam, and Cooper Kyle; Tucker and Saylor Dirnberger; Amelia Kyle and two more on the way.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Konner Stephens; a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call after 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at the Eisleben Lutheran Church with Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be at Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery in Scott City.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eisleben Lutheran Church in memory of Catherine Morrill.
