He was a retired forklift driver. He was a member of Perkins Baptist Church in Perkins, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son Randy (Trina) Tankerlsy of Perkins; a daughter, Angela (Ed) Moncada of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, Billy Tankersley of Delta, Missouri, Doyle Tankersly of Jefferson City, Missouri and Danny Tankerlsy of Gordonville, Missouri; three sisters, Joyce Spane of Chaffee, Missouri, Lois Douglas of Gordonville, Missouri and Tina Minner of Oak Ridge, Missouri and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the chapel with Revs. Patrick Tankersley and Ed Moncada. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the American Heart Association.
