Helen Keesee

Helen Louise Keesee, 94 of Scott City died Monday, October 31, 2017 at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born June 6, 1923 in Jonesboro, Illinois to William and Bertha Hinkle Mayberry. She married Harold Edmund Keesee on September 12, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1972.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Scott City, where she was the treasurer for 45 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Harolene Keesee of Scott City; two brothers, Floyd (Vickie) Mayberry and Richard (Jean) Mayberry of Jonesboro and a sister, Geraldine McLane of Anna, Illinois.

She was preceded death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Carolyn Keesee; five brothers, Robert, A.P., Raymond, William and Sherman Mayberry; a sister, Mildred Wright and two brothers-in-law, Raymond McLane and Leslie Wright.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City and from 9:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the Assembly of God Church in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the church with Rev. Randy Morse officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
