Ruby Louise Scherer

She was born February 13, 1929 in Scott City, the daughter of Arthur H. G. and Ella Ida Bretzel Roth. She married F. M. Scherer on February 18, 1950 in Fornfelt, he preceded her in death on January 10, 2004.

Ruby worked as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell and St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City.

Survivors include; a son-in-law, Stephen Doss of Farmington, Missouri; a nephew, Arthur Roth of Eldon, Missouri; and a niece, Francis Pernell of Lebanon, Missouri.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Doss on July 28, 2012, three brothers Marvin, Arvel and Harold Roth.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City and Wednesday morning from 9 until service time at Eisleben Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
