Oraville "Gene" Cummins

He was born on November 11, 1936 in Fornfelt, Missouri to the late Oravill Perry “Wiggles” and Bernice Katherine Coombes Cummins. He married Mary Elizabeth Davenport on May 25, 1957 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2017.

Gene was a retired plant manager for Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee. He was a member of Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.

He is survived by a daughter, Pam (Fred) Harrell of Jackson; two sons, Kenneth (Becky) Cummins of Chaffee and Ron (Annette) Cummins of Scott City; a brother Paul (Barbara) Cummins of Scott City; a sister, Delores (Ralph) Burger of Kelso; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Jim) Emerson of Chaffee; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth and a niece, Lexi Cummins.

Friends may call after 5:00 pm on Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday at the Chapel with Pastor Gary Brothers officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
