Mabel Ruth Smith, 86 of Scott City, Missouri died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born January 8, 1932 in Sikeston, Missouri to Bardis and Evelyn Medling Wiseman. She married Robert Teddy “R.T.” Smith on October 8, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2002.

She was a cook at Fisherman’s Net and Blue Hole BBQ. She was a member of Jackson Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Barry (Anita) Allen of Arnold, Terry Smith of Scott City; a daughter, Lisa Smith of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Larry (Gini) Wiseman of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Kay (Newt) Gilliland of Cape Girardeau; 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Smith; two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Brian Mitchell officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
