Betty Ann Fenton

Betty Ann Fenton, 82, of Sikeston passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at her home.

She was born on February 23, 1936 in Oran to the late Fred and Eunice Brumley DeHart. She married Dr. Thomas P. Fenton on Dec. 20, 1976 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1988.

Betty was a nurse for 50 years and she also worked as a Nurse administration for Charleston Nursing Host House. She loved her little yorkie dog, dancing, reading, watching television, listing to music and watching her favorite St. Louis Cardinals.

She is survived by a son, Terrence (Debra) Payne of Sikeston; a sister, Donnia Chapman of Pinckneyville, Illinois; three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Freddie Payne and thirteen brothers and sisters.

There will be a private family service on Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel, Oran.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday with Rev. Matt Butrum officiating. Burial will be at Friend Cemetery in Oran.
