Doris Mae Owens

Doris Mae Owens, 93, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.

She was born on May 16, 1924 in Falmouth, Kentucky to the late Andrew and Mamie Heilmann. She married James Edward Owens in Jeffersonville, Indiana on June 5, 1943 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2005 after 62 years of marriage.

Doris was a retired factory worker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

She is survived by two sons, James (Saundra) Owens of Chaffee and Jack Owens of Gordonville; three grandchildren, Kim (Bill) Boitnott, Gary (Bobbie) Owens both of Chaffee, Candi (Gary) Goins of Anna, Illinois and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, a sister and three brothers.

Friends may call after 10:00 am until time of service on Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday at the chapel with Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
