Wanda Schwartz

Wanda Sue Schwartz, 81 of Scott City died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at her home. She was born June 17, 1936 in Vanduser, Missouri to Thomas Jefferson and Myrtle Mae Cruse Jackson. She married William R. Schwartz on August 22, 1975.

She was a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Chaffee General Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, William; four sons, Marcus (Alicia) Harris of Port Orchard, Washington, Wade Harris of St. Charles, Missouri, Darrel (Fukuyo) Harris of Slidell, Louisiana and Kevin (Alesia) Gresham of College Station, Texas; two daughters, Debbie (Kevin Colyott) Griffin and Lori (Chuck) Dobbs of Jackson; a stepson, Kevin (Sandra) Schwartz; four sisters, Francis Sanders, Betty Lentz, Jan Hillman and Dorothy Bryeans; 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Theresa Steagall; a grandson, Terry Lynn II; three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 pm.

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday at the church with Rev. Joe Weidenbenner as celebrant.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
