Carolyn C. Hinkle

She was born on Oct. 24, 1942 in Morley, Missouri, the daughter of the late Anna Belle Cook McMullin. She married Charles “Bob” Hinkle on Sept. 5, 2004 and he survives of the home.

Carolyn worked for Buckstein Pants Factory in Chaffee and then as a conveyer operator for Thorngate Ltd and retiring in 2006. After retirement she worked in child care for Kids Academy. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a member of the Daughters of St. Ambrose. Carolyn loved taking care of her grandchildren, great-grandkids, doing crafts, gardening and just making people happy.

She is survived by three sons, Dennis (Sandi) Mills of Scott City; Charlie Hinkle of Jackson; Douglas (Janie) Hinkle of Rockview; two daughters, Dwana (Danny) Leible of Kelso; Lisa (Brian) Burger of Jackson; eleven grandchildren, Garrett (Chelsey) Mills, Maranda Mills, Jordan (Jonathan) Anderson, Drew Hinkle, Junior Hinkle, Valerie Hinkle, Natalie Leible, Mollie Leible, Andrew Leible, Ashley (Matt) Diebold, Derek (Katie) Miller and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother Norman McMullin.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 pm at the chapel.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic church with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee or Alzheimer Association.
