Gary G. Schrum

He was born on March 31, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the son of Roy and Stella Irene Sadler Steger, and Ollie Earl Schrum. He married Debbie Bedwell on March 6, 2010 and she survives of the home.

Gary was a retired self-employed mechanic. He was a member of War Child riding group of Chaffee. He enjoyed building old hot rods, riding motorcycles and drag racing. Besides his family his biggest pride is raising money for St. Jude’s Children Hospital and the local Veterans as part of WarChild riding group.

He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Schrum; three son, David Aitken of Granite City, Illinois; Danny (Kelly) Shaver of Yuma, Arizona; Christopher Owens of Chaffee; two daughters, Vicky Jo (Jr Salinas) Schrum if Yuma and Curtlynn Owens of Chaffee; a brother, Bobby (Anita) Schrum of Chaffee; four sisters, Barbara (Rodney) Kirn of Jackson; Tina (John) Swinford of Chaffee; Tammy (Rick Hardin) Schrum of Piedmont, Missouri; Shawn (Gary) Pope St. Petersburg, Florida; three grandchildren, Daniel Shaver, Aiden, Salinas and Brianna Salinas; he has a special niece, Nicole (Time Clark) Schrum of Chaffee; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy, Tommy and Ronnie Schrum; a sister, Janice Kay Schrum.

A Celebration of life will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Chaffee Nutrition Center at 4 pm.

Memorial Service will be at 6:00 pm. This celebration of life will be biker friendly and casual attire will be greatly appreciated. All patches are welcome.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to WarChild Riding group to help in aiding in the mission to raise money for St. Jude’s Children Hospital and local Veterans.
