Richard Anthony Hinkebein, 81 of Kelso, Missouri died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born July 15, 1936 in Cape Girardeau to Theodore Martin and Olivia Francis Glastetter Hinkebein. He married JoAnn Theresia Heisserer on November 22, 1956 in Kelso, Missouri.
He was a Union Carpenter Instructor at Mingo Job Corps for 34 years for the United Brotherhood and Joiners of America. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Men’s Sodality and Knights of Columbus Council 1111 in Cape Girardeau.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard J. “Rick” (Teri) Hinkebein of Charlotte, North Carolina and Darrin A. Hinkebein of Kelso; four grandchildren, Amanda, Chris, Cameron and Lance; a great grandchild, Ella and a brother, Willard (Vivian) Hinkebein of Scott City.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin M. Hinkebein on July 5, 1980 and five brothers.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church with Rev. Joe Weidenbenner as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
