Betty Jane Dennis

Betty Jane Dennis, 83, of Festus, Missouri, formally of Chaffee passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Mercy Hospital in Festus.   She was born July 2, 1934 in Chaffee to the late Tom and Viola Ora Baumunk Eldridge. She married Charles William Dennis on October 6, 1951 and he survives of the home.   Betty was a homemaker in her own home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Festus. She was a member of VFW ladies Auxiliary in Crystal City, Missouri.   She is survived by her loving husband Charles Dennis; two sons, Andy Dennis of Park Hills, Missouri; Brad (Gail) Dennis of Desoto, Missouri; a daughter, Kelly Cofield of Festus; a brother, Tommy (Nina) Eldridge of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Lou (Leon) Blattel and Linda Talley both of St. Charles, Missouri; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.   She was also preceded in death by a son, a brother and two sisters.   Friends may call after 1:00 pm until time of service on Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel, Chaffee.   Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday at the Chapel with Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery.
