Leta Smith

Leta Lynette Smith, 57 of Scott City died June 15, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born Oct. 15, 1960 in Cape Girardeau, Mo to Alfred and Fankie Marie Summers Smith.

She was a painter at Shutter Shop and a truck driver. Leta loved to fish, family and friends.

She is survived by Shelly Corwin, her life partner; a daughter, Keeann (Seth) Ward of Texas; two brothers, Marvin Hite and Ricky Hite of North Carolina; three sisters, Mechell Anders and Sharon Gibbar Weathington of Scott City and Javada Smith Bolt of Corbin, KY and three grandchildren, Kegan, Dunklin and Kim Ward of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on June 19, 2018 at the Scott City Community Center, 404 N. Lincoln St., Scott City, MO.
