Marvin Raines

Marvin Vincent Raines, 81 of Scott City died Friday, June 29, 2018 at his home. He was born November 2, 1936 in Scott County to Leslie and Neta Peetz Raines. He married Bonnie Sue Hawn on October 17, 1963.

He spent most of his young years at Cape Central Airways and then drove a truck for USF Holland until he retired. He was a veteran of the US Army and was stationed in Hawaii from 1960 – 1962 and was a volunteer fire fighter for 40 years. He was a graduate of Illmo Fornfelt High school.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; a son, Darren of Scott City; a grandson Preston; a granddaughter, Tiffany (Wade) Boggs with a great grandson on the way; a sister, Gladys Smith and 4 nieces and 5 nephews and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alice Getz; a brother, Wilford Raines and a niece.
