Ella Dowd

Ella Nora Dowd, 88 of Chaffee, died Friday, August 3 2018 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. She was born November 5, 1929 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Aaron and Julia LaVerne Ryker Culbertson.  She married Ronald Eugene Dowd on November 26, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1995.

She had worked for Cape Central Airways for 18 years and was owner/operator of Castaways for 20 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Chaffee, Missouri.

She is survived by a daughter, Gayle (Jack) Dragoni of Chaffee; a sister, Nancy (Bob) Cook of Sedgwickville, Missouri; two grandchildren and a great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a son Michael Dowd; a grandson; Justin Dragoni;a brother, Aaron Culbertson and two sisters, Nellie Robinson and Julia Gregory.

Visitation will be from 11:00 – 12:30 pm on Monday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Chaffee.

Graveside service will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
