Charles Ray Drew

He was born on June 23, 1936 in Bell City, Missouri to the late Joe and Goldie Arnold Drew. He married Barbara Louise Hurst on Oct. 19, 1957 and she survives of the home.

Charles was a retired grain elevator manager with Cargill Inc. He was a graduate of Bell City High School where he was active in sports. He loved fishing, hunting, and Cardinal Baseball, he especially loved coon and dove hunting. Charles later took up gardening and came out of retirement to play fast pitch softball with his son. He had deep appreciation for all animals but especially his dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Drew of nearly 61 years; a son Brian (Kim) Drew of Delta; a sister, Vivian Brown of Delta; three grandchildren, Holt Horrell, Jessica Wasson and Amanda Masters; two great-grandchildren, Drew and Hannah Wasson.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen McCain; four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call after 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel, Chaffee.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the Chapel with Rev. Don Leggett officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
