Elsie Louise Caldwell, 85 of Dutchtown, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Foutainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born on December 22, 1932 in Fornfelt, Missouri to Wesley and Mable Lynn. She married Donald Eugene Caldwell on June 15, 1974 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2008
Elsie cleaned houses for many years and loved doing ironings for her clients. She was an animal lover and enjoyed planting and growing her numerous gardens. She was always known as the “Lady with the prettiest flowers”. Other hobbies included sewing, baking and making candy especially during the holidays.
She is survived by her son, Rod (Jessica) Underwood of Cape Girardeau; her two daughters, Rhonda (Tim) Dunham of Phoenix, Arizona and Charleen (Michael) Underwood of Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott city.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday at the chapel with Pastor Wavis Jordan officiating.
Burial will be at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
